Services Offered

Overview

Within my childminding service I have the capacity to take care of up to six children. Within this constraint I have the potential to care for a maximum of three children not yet of school age, including a single infant under the age of 12 months. Any remaining childcare spaces may be used by school aged children in wrap-around or holiday care sessions. These services are available between 07:30 and 17:30. Contracts include full time, part time and wrap-around services during term time, and the potential for school holiday cover. Where your childcare needs are not covered within these constraints, for example infant twins, please get in touch to discuss this with me directly.

As part of a child’s time with me I will provide appropriate healthy snacks and drinks, with the option of adding meals. I follow the national guidelines for the provision of food ensuring each child’s specific dietary needs are met. I have undertaken Food Hygiene and Allergy training, and am willing to work with parents and carers to ensure an appropriate menu is on offer meeting cultural, dietary and allergy restrictions and preferences.

I will ensure access to engaging indoor and outdoor play opportunities, and the option to attend local community play groups and activities. I have a range of resources on site to care for infants and young children including a pram, single/double pushchair and selection of baby and toddler carriers. I will provide and rotate through a selection of age appropriate toys and equipment, responding to the needs and interests of those in my care.

Infants and Toddlers

Full or part time care for babies, infants and toddlers up to 3 years.

I work collaboratively with parents to accommodate individual childcare needs. We will work together to discuss and document your child’s care needs and routines, and I will endeavour to support these within my setting wherever possible.

I have dedicated space to ensure your child will have access to safe and quiet spaces for any daytime naps, as well as areas for undertaking nappy changing and personal care with privacy and dignity.

Care is available from 07:30 until 17:30, Monday to Friday.

Good Time To Be 2

The Good Time To Be 2 scheme offers up to 1140 hours of free early learning and childcare per year for qualifying families. These childcare hours can be taken at a family centre, nursery, with a childminder, or as a blended model sharing hours between settings.

Please get in touch if you’re interested in taking some or all of your hours with me.

As a childminder in partnership with Midlothian Council I am registered to provide quality care in a home environment while meeting the same standards as larger care settings.

Preschool

As a registered provider in partnership with Midlothian Council I am in a position to offer full and part time funded care for children eligible to attend a Midlothian ELC setting.

Funded placements are available at my setting on a term-time (38 week) basis, allowing children to access up to 30 hours per week of funded childcare split across one or more childcare settings. Blended placements are provided in partnership with another childcare setting. Please get in touch if you are interested in following a blended model.

If you choose to access a full time placement at my setting we will work together to find a package of care to suit you and your child, spreading your hours across the days and times best suited to your childcare needs. Funded hours are offered on a full or half day session basis, between 07:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Private contract hours are available from 07:30 until 17:30 daily, for up to 46 weeks of the year.
